By combining sign language with musical performance, students develop creativity, confidence and communication skills while celebrating Deaf culture and building meaningful connections. The ASL Choir makes room for different ways of experiencing music, sharing stories and expressing ideas together.
Music That Connects
Through expressive signing, movement and storytelling, students bring music to life in ways that go beyond sound. The choir creates an inclusive space where young artists can collaborate, express themselves and experience the joy of performing together.
Since its launch in 2022, the choir has expanded opportunities for Deaf and hard-of-hearing students to participate in music education and public performances.
Expression, Culture and Belonging
Music is more than what we hear. It can be seen in movement, shared through language and brought to life through expression. By celebrating Deaf culture alongside musical performance, the choir brings different perspectives into a shared creative experience. Every student contributes to that connection.
